Long lasting glam from Urban Decay

Urban Decay is a brand I have a long connection with. In fact, my first ever eyeshadow purchase was from them in the shade Midnight Cowboy- a super sparkly shade (similar to MAC All That Glitters) that is apparently one of their best selling shades. The Urban Decay counter used to be at the front of Debenhams along with Hard Candy (another brand I loved in my early teens!) and I remember I used to love the glitter liners too.

The brand has become iconic for their Naked palettes but the brand offers so much more than just eyeshadows. Their products are all very long lasting and seem to focus on really glam girls that love makeup and getting dolled up. I've tried some of the products from their new Summer 2015 range and I have to say I'm impressed.

By far, this is my favourite product from the new range. I have real problems with blusher. I feel like it can either make me look really warm and red or not show up on my skin at all. The shade Score is perfect for anyone with a medium skintone like me. It really makes a difference to my face and seems to give it a real lift. I also feel like the light shimmer eliminates the need for a highlighter or indeed a bronzer. This reminds me that a good blusher can stop you needing to contour your face to death. As for the 8 Hour claim- it seemed to still be on my after a 9-5 day. This is a perfect product for girls on the go or who love makeup that doesn't move. The packaging is also very cute (but lacks a mirror). However, for £19, I feel like it good value for money as powder products always last longer than creams.

There's a big trend at the minute for high colour glosses and liquid lipsticks. The Revolution glosses pack lots of colour into little product. The colour pictured is a purple berry that is glossy and creates the perfect pout. Again, these offer good value for money as a little bit goes a long way. The orange red (Punch Drunk) and nude shades (Kinky and Liar) also look like great shades to try out. The wear time is pretty good (had to reapply after about 3 hours) and they don't stain like many high colour glosses.

All of the Urban Decay shadows are known for being great quality. They have launched lots of new shades in their individual range including Beware (pictured). The warm brown is a perfect crease colour or all over colour for shadow lazy days. It also looks great under the eyes as liner. I will say that allow the shadows are highly pigmented, the fall out is always a little bit more noticeable. I combat this by doing my eye makeup first if I am using my Urban Decay shadows- a problem easily solved!
