The perfect everyday nude-pink lip

For the month of October I have teamed up with Gordon's Chemists which is a fantastic Northern Irish company. All of the products I will feature this month are available in stores (all of my items were purchased in the Cornmarket Belfast store). They do some amazing discounts so be sure to check back to the blog regularly to see my reviews of all of my products.

I have managed not to try the Tanya Burr Cosmetics range since it launched sometime ago. I think this is largely attributed to the popularity of it and how quickly it often sells out! For those of you not in the know, Tanya Burr is a hugely successful YouTuber who makes makeup and style videos. Firstly, the colour range of the Tanya Burr Cosmetics lip glosses is vast. I opted for Aurora which is a nude-pink which I thought would make a great everyday colour. The glosses are quite pigmented and remind me of the NARS lip-glosses both in consistency, smell and packaging. The glosses smell very sweet but not too sickening. The applicator is slightly curved making application easy. I teamed this gloss with my everyday makeup and a bronze smoky eye and it made for perfect, simple and an almost Kim Kardashian inspired look. The gloss was not sticky and made my lips look very full. I did have to reapply after about three hours of wear but I think that is average for a gloss with no stain properties. I have to admit that I don't wear many glosses as my hair tends to always get stuck in it, but these have restored my faith in glosses because of the formula.

Overall, I'm highly impressed with my first Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipgloss and can see me investing in a few more colours, especially Chic which looks like the next shade down from this. Make sure to pop into Gordon's Chemist to see the full colour range of both the lip-glosses and nail polishes.
