There is nothing I love more than a leisurely lunch with my friends. I was delighted to be invited to sample food at the new Havana Bank Sq. Located in Bank Square (just out the side of Castle Court), the restaurant boasts an impressive menu consisting of all the classic lunchtime favourites such as sandwiches and burgers but also incorporates amazing Super Foods. This is a welcome addition as many people are gluten free and often are not catered to. The restaurant also does breakfast, dinner and cocktail making workshops. The head chef Julian Davidson is inspired by the exceptional range of great local produce on offer. His philosophy has remained the same over his 25 years in the industry 'keep it local, fresh and simple'.The lunch menu is just the right size and the offering of cocktails were very tempting (One especially called out to me which had chilli vodka in it!). The cocktail menu arrives inside a Cuban cigar box which is a cute touch. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels homely but still very classy. Myself and I a friend enjoyed a Friday lunch. I ordered rib-eye and duck fat chips which came accompanied with a pepper cream sauce. The rib-eye was cooked to perfection and the chips were delicious (I always judge a restaurant on its chips). My friend had a burger which she said was the "nicest burger she ever had" and said it was probably the first time she finished a burger in a restaurant! After this, we opted to get 2 desserts and share them. The Best Chocolate Recipe I Know was a a decadent but still light chocolate cake. We also ordered a Coconut Panacotta. I have a bit of a penchant for Panacotta and this one was outstanding.

The service in Havana Bank Sq was fantastic and I cannot wait to return for dinner. I imagine the atmosphere would be fantastic. The food is such high quality and I think it's very cheap for amount and quality of the food.
